Wirral is a large and varied peninsula, so this page focuses on Birkenhead (broadly CH41 and CH42) as its nearest and largest town, though we cover the wider Wirral area too. It's one of the longer journeys we make, around 14 to 15 miles and 30 to 35 minutes from Huyton, usually via the Queensway or Kingsway Mersey Tunnels or over the M53 and M56, and it's a route our team is well practised on.

Birkenhead Park, opened in 1847, is widely credited as the first publicly funded civic park in Britain, and it directly inspired Frederick Law Olmsted's design for New York's Central Park. The historic Mersey Ferry still runs from Birkenhead's Woodside terminal across to Liverpool, and Hamilton Square has one of the largest groups of Grade I listed buildings in England.
Housing varies hugely across Wirral, and in Birkenhead itself, dense Victorian terraces close to the town centre give way to more spacious, affluent housing further out towards Wallasey, Heswall and West Kirby. We plan Birkenhead removals around the terraced streets specifically. For anyone moving locally on a budget, our Van & Driver service is £40 an hour with a 2-hour minimum, with you doing the loading and us doing the driving. We can also help with piano moves in Wirral. Disposal is priced by access, typically from £150–£200 for easy ground-floor collections up to £250–£350 or more where there are multiple flights of stairs.
