This was a man and van move from Liverpool to Salford Quays: a flat on the Liverpool waterfront (L3) to a new flat in Salford Quays (M50). One man, one Luton van, and a morning slot. Our man and van service covers moves like this, where there’s more to carry than a car can take but not enough for a full removal team.

What went in the van
Three big suitcases, a bike, a TV and TV stand, a plastic drawer unit, a weights bench with two dumbbells, a clothes airer, three plants and nine small boxes. Nothing needed taking apart, so loading was straightforward. The bike went in last and was strapped to the side wall, with a ratchet strap across the front of the load so nothing could slide on the motorway.

Ground floor out, 4th floor in
Pick-up was from a ground floor flat, which kept the Liverpool end quick. At the Salford Quays end the new flat was on the 4th floor, but the building has a lift.

Boxes went from the tail lift onto the trolley and straight through the entrance, which saves a lot of trips on a job with this many small items.

The plants rode up in the lift last, and the customer was moved in before lunch.
