Speke was a small village of around 400 residents in the 1930s and grew into a large, planned council-estate suburb of more than 25,000 people by the 1950s. Speke Hall, a striking Tudor timber-framed house now cared for by the National Trust, is a reminder of the area's much older history, while Liverpool John Lennon Airport (renamed from Speke Airport in 2001) sits on the southern edge of the estate.
With most of Speke's housing dating from that mid-20th-century estate development, moves here often involve similar layouts and access, which helps us plan efficiently.
