Netherton sits in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, covering the L30 postcode, close to the Switch Island interchange where the M57 meets the M58. From our Huyton base it's around 9 to 10 miles away, typically a 20 to 25 minute drive via the M57 and A5036, and the area is also well served by Aintree and Old Roan Merseyrail stations.

The heart of Netherton is its old Village Green, around which much of the original village grew, and St Benet's Church, built in 1793, is a local curiosity, because from the road it looks more like an ordinary house than a place of worship. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal also runs through Netherton, giving the area a quieter, more village-like feel than some of its busier Sefton neighbours.
That mix of older village-centre streets and more modern housing around the canal and motorway links means we plan Netherton moves with an eye on both: narrower lanes near the Village Green and easier access on the newer estates. It's also common for us to help move a piano into a new Netherton home: for a straightforward ground-floor-to-ground-floor move within the Liverpool area, that's a flat £220, with anything involving extra floors priced on request. If your move includes Terry Lunt Self Store, we're glad to help with collection or drop-off as part of the job.
