Not every move is a long one. This job was removals from Grovelands in Princes Park, Liverpool, to a brand-new block of flats on Grove Street, literally the next street over. With residents moving out of Grovelands, it’s a move a lot of local families are making, and our two man team made sure this one went smoothly.
Wrapping furniture before it leaves the flat
Even on a short move, furniture still has to go down stairs, through doors and onto a tail lift. So before anything left the flat, the sofa and larger pieces were wrapped in thick protective covers and strapped up.
Down the stairwell
The flat was up a communal stairwell, so the wrapped sofa had to be turned and carried down carefully by two people. The covers protect both the furniture and the walls on the way.
Loaded and strapped in
In the Luton van, everything was blanket-wrapped and strapped in place. Even for a drive round the corner, we load the van as if it’s going across the country.
Into the new flat on Grove Street
A few minutes later we were unloading outside the new building on Grove Street, carrying everything in and placing it where the customer wanted it in their new home.
