St Chad's Church stands on a site recorded in the Domesday Book, so Kirkby is far older than its estates suggest. The town as it's known today took shape from the 1950s as one of Merseyside's largest post-war overspill new towns, and Southdene was among the first areas built. The town centre is now being regenerated.
Most of Kirkby's housing came from that planned expansion, so the streets follow similar layouts, with similar house types, road widths and parking. That lets us plan crew size, van access and timings before we've seen the property, which keeps quotes accurate and moving day on schedule.
