The village is best known for its National Trust pinewoods and sand dunes, one of the last strongholds for England's red squirrels, and Formby Beach itself. The surrounding coastline is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest for its fragile dune ecosystem. That setting and the village centre draw a lot of people to move here.
Formby's housing runs from handsome, tree-lined avenues close to the village centre, with larger detached and period properties, narrow driveways and mature hedging, out to broader 1960s estate roads on the fringes. We plan parking and access around the older avenues in advance, and on the newer estates we can usually get a van right outside the door, keeping quotes accurate and moving day straightforward.
